About The Artist
Born and raised in the small town of Dover, Tennessee... Jeorja was raised in a family of artists.
Her grandfather James Vertrees was a world renowned copper sculpter, and her father John Vertrees; a glass artist and illustrator, where she was completely enveloped during her childhood and motivated to pursue her career in the art community.
After her enlistment in the United States Navy, she returned home a single mom... which placed this pursuit on a short pause.
A few years later, she would then find herself in Texas picking up her skills again and exploring mediums like epoxy and glass; as opposed to her other pursuits of illustration and interior design, and fall in love with it.
She then would pursue a small venture in creating small pieces and commissioned work from family and friends. This venture ended up funding half of her college expenses... Things that her military GI Bill could not afford.
Today, Jeorja is still creating and has landed herself in the luxury art community, creating elevated pieces for homes all across the country and becoming a National award winning artist in 2025.
Through faith and partnership with the creator and her unparalleled support from her family... What was once a vision in her childhood is now reality, and what was once subdued by life circumstances is now catapulting her into the life that she always dreamt of.
To her supporters here in Texas and throughout the online space, she sends her deepest gratitude. If it wasn't for you, Jeorja Turner Art would not exist. If it wasn't for those that appreciate and collect art, there would be no ability to make it a full time career. It is people like you, that make dreams reality for artists across the world.
